The Mock Recall section is structured to document and track simulated recall exercises, ensuring readiness in case of an actual product recall:
- Category – Type or classification of the product being tested
- Product – Name of the product involved in the mock recall
- Ingredient – Ingredients associated with the product, if applicable
- Lot – Batch or lot number for traceability
- Quantities Received – Amount of product initially received
- Quantities Distributed – Amount of product that has been distributed
- Quantities Inventory – Amount of product currently in stock
- Waste – Product discarded during the exercise
- Amount Traced – Quantity successfully traced during the mock recall
- Completed By – Individual responsible for executing and documenting the exercise
This section centralizes mock recall data to ensure accurate tracking and verification of recall procedures.
Why it matters
It ensures the organization is prepared to quickly and accurately trace and remove affected products, supports food safety and regulatory compliance, identifies gaps in traceability systems, and strengthens overall recall readiness.
Step-by-step actions
1 — Open the Recall Section
From the left-side dashboard menu, click on the Recall section to access recall-related modules.
2 — Select “Mock Recall”
Within the Recall section, select Mock Recall to view existing mock recall records.
3 — Create Mock Recall
Click the purple “Create Mock Recall” button.
A form will open where you can:
- Select the Location
- Select the Date
- Select the Category
- Select the Ingredient
- Enter the Lot
- Enter Quantities Received
- Enter Quantities in Inventory
- Enter Waste
- Enter Amount Traced
- Enter Reaction Time
- Enter Corrections to the Recall Plan
- Add Supporting Documents
- Enter Comments
- Manage Task Frequency as needed
Once completed, click Submit to save the mock recall record.
